Employing traditional techniques in the genre of still life painting, my paintings conjure notions of intimacy on both personal and universal levels. The images I create are poetically rendered yet narratively vague, linking personal fragments of my memories to the universal act of finding sanctuary within domestic spaces. Each still life is covered in a way to suggest a form underneath, where I find aesthetic pleasure in the way fabric weaves in and out of itself. The fabrics selected each hold specific memories and a familiarity which bring comfort into the creation process.
